Mission:

I believe every student at any level can benefit from dance. Whether young or old(er), students learn discipline, improve coordination, and build fitness. I strive to meet each student at their level and give them the tools to improve. I believe lessons learned in the studio extend outside to the classroom and into the community. I hope to help each student grow not only as dancers but in confidence and self-awareness.

Studio Policies

Attendance/Tardiness

Dancers should arrive 10 minutes before class time. Students need to remain in the waiting room until the instructor comes to get them for class. Please, be prompt to pick up students after class.

Parents, please remind your younger dancers to use the restroom before class begins.

Missed classes can be made up with the same level or the level below within one month of absence.

Dancers arriving more than 10 minutes late, at the discretion of the instructor, may be asked to observe class instead of participating. Warm-up and barre are very important elements of dance class. Dancers place themselves at a greater risk of injury when they miss participating in the full warm-up

Pre-pointe and Pointe students must be enrolled at least twice per week.

Classroom Discipline

In order to create the best atmosphere for all students, I aim to create a culture where each student can focus on individual growth and learning. Students who are consistently losing focus and drawing attention away from the goal disrupt not only their own dance education but the experience of others in the class.

Unless directed by the instructor, dancers should not touch other students during class.

Questions are encouraged, but talking between students during class is discouraged.

All students are expected to participate to the best of their ability and follow the instructions of the teacher.

If a student is having difficulty with behavior:

1st intervention - the instructor will ask them to stop the behavior and possibly move them to a different spot before continuing.

2nd intervention- the student will be asked to sit by the mirror for one or two combinations.

3rd intervention - the student will be asked to leave class for the day.

These interventions are at the discretion of the instructor.

Cancellations of classes/Holidays

Unexpected cancellations (due to weather or instructor illness) will be communicated by email and text with as much notice as possible. Classes missed because of instructor or weather can be either made-up or can be pro-rated in the next month.

Scheduled holidays that fall within the semester but do not affect an entire week of classes (ex. Labor Day, Presidents Day) can be made up in a class of the same or lower level. Please, check the calendar for planned holidays.

Tuition

Tuition made be paid in full at the beginning of each semester.

The monthly tuition option is due the first week of classes each month. A $10 fee will be added to accounts 10 or more days late.  Tuition may be paid at the studio in cash or by check. $25 returned check fee. Online: Zelle (ann.tularosadance@gmail.com), Venmo (@tularosadance) or Paypal (@tularosadance)

While the number of classes may vary monthly due to holidays and start and finish dates, monthly payments remain the same each month.(exception December will be prorated for Christmas holiday)

With prior notice, a student may switch from monthly payment to "drop-in" fee.

Withdrawal

Students may withdraw at any point. Please, let me know the student has decided to discontinue training. If you have opted to use the recurring payment tool in Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal, you must stop the payment.  Monthly tuition paid before withdrawal is non-refundable, but may be used at a future time or donated to another dancer.  Tuition that was paid in full at the beginning of the session will be refunded a pro-rated amount based on number of full months left in the session.
